San Diego Bristol goes 60s pop

The 114-room Bristol Hotel in San Diego is getting a $7million retro 1960s makeover. Artwork from Warhol to Lichtenstein is already a hallmark of the boutique hotel, which is owned by Greystone Hotels, who have 11 other West Coast properties. Pillows will be printed with replicas of a 1965 concert ticket stub from the Beatles’s appearance at the Balboa Stadium, and some rooms will have record players with vinyl albums.
